Promote your Program!
Submit information about your show to Access Tucson. Please submit the information to our Program Manager well in advance of your cablecast date. Access Tucson may use this information in their overarching promotional efforts.
Please include:
- Name of Project
- Name of Program (episode)
- What your project and/or specific program is about?
- Dates to be cablecast
- Producer contact information
You can also promote your show yourself. Here are some suggestions:
- Channel Promo
- Produce a 30 to 60 second promo for cablecast. If you are a series producer, be sure to take advantage of Access Tucson’s PromoDaze service offered shortly before the beginning of each new season of programming. During PromoDaze, Access Tucson helps you produce a spot for your program which could run multiple times daily.
- Fliers
- Create fliers, posters or business cards. The business cards can be handed out when you are producing your program to let people know when your show airs.
- Press Release
- Send press releases to other local media. Try to interest the local media to do a story about your program. Ask newsletter editors to include your program information.
- Direct Promotion
- Reach your audience by creating a postcard for mailing. Target specific groups or organizations that would be interested in your message. Follow up with phone calls.
- Newspaper Ad
- Consider buying a newspaper or radio ad or a website pop-up.
- Website
- Create a website or blog about your show. Get others to add your link to their website.
There are many traditional and non-traditional ways to promote your show. Just be creative. Ask yourself, “Who is my target audience and how do I reach them?” The answer will get your brainstorming started.
