Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships for field, studio and remote production classes are available monthly. Full scholarships require applicant to complete six hours of service for Access Tucson. Applications for class fees are due by the 15th of each month and will be awarded by the first of the following month.
Rules for Scholarship Application
- You must be an Access Tucson member in good standing with all appropriate pre-requisite certifications.
- The applicant must have financial need for scholarship.
- The applicant must complete the scholarship form and return it to Access Tucson prior to the deadline. Your application must be legible. Please print clearly. If we are unable to read your writing, your application will be returned. You may resubmit a new application for the next month.
- You may only receive funding for one full class scholarship and one half-class scholarship per year.
- You will not be eligible to apply for another scholarship or grant until you have fulfilled all requirements for any previous Access Tucson grant or scholarship awards.
- You may either apply for a scholarship or register and pay for a class. You may not use a scholarship award as reimbursement for a class that has already been paid for.
- If you receive a full scholarship, you must provide Access Tucson with 6 hours of volunteer service.
If you receive any scholarship and are not able to attend class, you must cancel your registration 24 hours prior to the class. If you do not cancel your registration prior to class, or no-show for the class, you will be billed for the full cost of the class. If payment is not made, you will be ineligible for future scholarships and may incur additional sanctions of your membership privileges.
